Hotel Bill Format with Online Payment Button

In hotel or motel businesses, customers usually pay at the front office. For those clients who are under long-term contracts or for the rental of meeting rooms, etc., it is useful to add a PayPal button so that the clients are able to pay online.

By including the PayPal payment button on the PDF document ( Try it!), the client is able to pay you through PayPal by clicking or tapping on the PayPal button. This reduces typo mistakes. Being in the widely supported PDF format, the invoice and the PayPal payment button work on almost any device today—not only Windows desktop computers but also Macs and even mobile phone devices.

Note that the payment button does not work directly in the Excel spreadsheet template. Furthermore, the link on the Excel spreadsheet is just a template, which includes variables such as "oknBalanceDue" and "oknInvoiceID". However, our invoicing app will update the link to replace the variables with transaction details.

When you click the "Extract and Email" button to send the PDF invoice to your clients, the app will update the databases to record whether or not the email was successfully sent out.

The form layout is based on the Hotel Receipt Template (c7005). It includes 7 columns: "Room #", "Name", "Check in", "Check out", and "# of Nites". "Price per Nite", and "Line Total". The automatic calculation of the subtotals, totals, and taxes is done using Excel formulas.

This template and the Hotel Receipt Template (c7005) can share the same database definition.
