Legal Service Bill Format

This legal service invoice template shows an image of an experienced lawyer on the bottom of the sheet. It has a "Payment Detail" section for progress payments.

This template is a direct successor to the Payment Receipt Template (c5045). Since this is an invoice template designed for advocates, the big title of "RECEIPT" was changed to "INVOICE". The "Notes" field in the original design was also moved to the location next to the "Bill To" part, and now it has a new title "Case Summary". The "oknOrderID" field now has a new title "REF#".

Assuming all items are taxable, we've removed all the "Taxable" checkboxes from this template. And the formulas for calculating taxes are also changed. For example, the formula for the first tax ("State Tax") is changed to the following one:

The "Line total" is calculated from the quantity and unit price. If you prefer to have a "Date" column added to the form, see the sample at Attorney Billing Template (c5123), which shows the United States Dollar currency symbol in all the total cells. Another sample, Attorney Invoice Template (South African Currency) (c5067), shows the South African currency symbol.

If you prefer to title the columns "Hours" and "Hourly Rate", you can do that yourself. Simply switch the template into design mode and then enter your column headings to replace the existing ones. Since our invoicing app maps cells and database fields via cell names, changing column headings won't break this link.
