Detail
This two-column engineering invoice template is suitable for project architects and engineers that offer service to customers and have the need to bill the customers.
The template has two columns: Description and Total. Both are manually editable fields.
One thing that may not be obvious from the screenshots is that it supports changing order. In project management, a change order is a component of the change management process whereby changes in the Scope of Work agreed to by the owner, contractor, and architect or engineer are implemented.
In order to implement the support for change orders, we modified the Excel formula of the Total cell so that it searches for the keyword "Change Order" on the description column, and if that keyword is present, the total will be the amount that appears on the change order line; if the "Change Order" keyword isn't present, the total is calculated from the line totals.
The formula for searching "change order" is as follows:
=VLOOKUP("change order",oknProductName_1:oknLineTotal_17,11,FALSE)
The formula for the "Total" is as follows:
=IF(ISERROR(oknChangeOrder),oknSumLineTotal,oknChangeOrder)
For a variant of this template that does not support change order, see Architect (c2010).
