The apps published on the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace require the following:
- The desktop edition of Excel/Office 2016 or later versions, i.e., the downloadable and locally installed Excel/Office. Our apps don’t work with the web edition of Excel that runs inside web browsers.
- Windows 10 or later versions.
- X86 or X64 systems. Our apps don't work on ARM systems.
The screenshots below use Gantt Chart Maker for Excel as an example.
- First, you visit the subscription portal at https://uniformsoftware.com/portal, click the menu "Subscription Portal", "Apps", and then click "Download" to download the installer file.
- Open your "Downloads" folder and double-click the file you downloaded.
- Click "Install" to begin the installation procedure. If "Launch when ready" is checked, the app starts automatically when the installation is finished.
- This is what you’ll see when the main app starts for the first time. It is usually referred to as the "main app" to distinguish it from the add-in that runs inside Microsoft Excel. The main app gives a short introduction of the app, the ability to install an add-in to Excel (which is usually done automatically), and the ability to let you sign in.
- Go to the "License and Support" tab. Make sure it shows the message "Licensed to <your account>. If you want to change your account, click "Change Account".
- Start Excel, Go to the "UniformSoftware" (or "BoostExcel") ribbon tab and click "Add New Gantt Chart" in the "Gantt Chart Maker" tab.
